Memories of the Journey grew from the ecosystems created for the larger work The Journey. Each piece—Desert, Forest, and two interpretations of Ocean—isolates one environment and reimagines it as a memory of a larger experience.
Freestanding embroidered lines curve, overlap, and extend beyond subtle geometric structures, creating small landscapes that can be followed rather than simply viewed. Like memories, they preserve fragments of a journey while changing them: some paths remain clear, others overlap, disappear, or lead somewhere unexpected.
Together, the series explores how a larger journey can live on through the individual places and moments we carry with us.
Each piece is created with embroidery thread and a 3D-printed structure. They are mounted in custom made shadow boxes with non-glare acrylic glazing and are 8.7 × 8.7 x 1.5 in (220 × 220 × 40 mm).
